What the grade means

Most people read riba as the interest they personally pay. That is the surface. Behind every product you hold sits a chain of lending, borrowing and money creation that participates in the same system, whether or not you feel it.

RibaCheck grades each holding on the contract it is, whether interest accrues on it, and for debt how long it has left to run. Your grade is the weighted result across everything you entered. It is a research instrument, not a fatwa, and it is built to move the conversation from avoiding interest to reducing participation.
